Terms & Conditions

Throughout our history,  Boulevard Brewing Company has been committed to the support of local charitable organizations.  Now,  through our KC Pils “10% for KC” program,  we’re building on that legacy by donating a full 10% of revenues from local sales of KC Pils.  It’s our opportunity to say “thank you” to the people and organizations that make our hometown a better place to live and work.  

 

Overview

Each calendar quarter,  three charities are chosen from a pool of eligible,  nominated organizations.  Available funds are calculated based on Boulevard’s good faith estimate of revenue derived during the quarter from the sale of KC Pils in the Kansas City Region (defined below) to distributors serving all or part of the Kansas City Region.  An online public vote determines the level of funding each receives:  the top vote-getter is allocated 60% of available funds,  while the two runners-up each receive 20%.  Funds are distributed within 30 days after the end of each calendar quarter.

Selected organizations are encouraged to utilize social media and other marketing tools to raise public awareness of the program and encourage voting by their supporters.

 

Eligibility

To be considered, an entity must be a valid 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a core mission involving service to the Kansas City Region.

The Kansas City Region is comprised of the following Missouri counties: Andrew, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Cass, Clay, Clinton, DeKalb, Jackson, Lafayette, Platte and Ray. Kansas counties include Doniphan, Douglas, Franklin, Johnson, Leavenworth, Linn, Miami and Wyandotte.

 

Nomination

Any individual with a valid email address may nominate a charity via the nomination form. Nominations may be submitted at any time and are kept on file for consideration throughout the life of the program.  Multiple nominations do not improve the chances of being selected.

 

Selection

Nominations are reviewed four times per year by a committee of individuals from Boulevard and affiliated partners.  Selections are based on the following criteria:

  • Ties to The Community:  How relevant is the organization to the local community? How effectively does the entity engage and involve members of the general public?
  • Making A Difference:  Does the organization have a history of making a meaningful,  positive impact in the community,  consistent with its mission and goals?
  • Engaged Leadership:  Are the organization’s leaders,  board members,  and/or volunteers fully engaged and active in the support of the cause?

Selected organizations are notified at least 30 days prior to the beginning of their donation period.  Within 10 days of notification,  an official representative must acknowledge the organization’s commitment to program terms and conditions.

 

Voting

The names of selected organizations are posted on the Current Charities page.  Public voting for a calendar quarter begins 10 days before the end of the prior quarter and ends at midnight on the last day of the prior quarter.  Individuals can vote for one organization,  one time per day,  using not more than one Internet browser. 

Boulevard reserves the right,  in its sole and absolute discretion,  to void any suspect votes or votes generated by a script,  macro,  or other automated means,  and to prohibit further participation by any individual or organization employing such means.

 

The Fine Print

Boulevard reserves the right,  in its sole and absolute discretion,  to disqualify any individual or organization at any time for any reason,  or for no reason.  This program may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.
